Charissa’s Haiku

A few months after Smiley Zen was completed, I asked my daugher Charissa to write a poem in the form of a Haiku.

Haikus are short poems, frequently inspired by elements of nature or a moment of beauty. The traditional Haiku is made up of 3 lines of 5-7-5 syllables, for a total of 17 syllables.

Charissa wrote it beautifully!

I had a bronze plaque made, and it now stands in front of Smiley.
